Crimson Lady Peach on BY520-9. Nematode Resistant Peach/nectarine (Spring 2024)

Crimson Lady is the very first peach you are likely to pick each year.

A vigorous, spreading tree that is dense and productive, Crimson Lady is a hardy tree that has been proven to crop in zone 5 regularly. Crimson Lady is self-fertile and a second variety is not required as a pollenizer.

Ripening around three weeks before Redhaven, Crimson Lady is the very first peach you are likely to pick each year. As my band instructor once said, "The first and last notes are the most important." That would make Crimson Lady a very important peach. It is bright red and has a very smooth, low fuzz skin. Like other early peaches it is clingstone, and it is extremely sweet and aromatic. This is a great peach for the backyard, but it is also very firm and will hold up well for commercial production.
