PF Big George Peach on Nemaguard (Spring 2024)

You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2024. You can also find trees for Spring 2023.

A fully freestone, late-season peach.

The tree is resistant to bacterial spot and self-fertile; a second variety will not be needed for pollination. It is reliably productive but requires less thinning than a typical peach.

Ripening about 50 days after Redhaven (or the second of October in southwest Michigan with the last picking Oct. 8th, way after Encore), this peach also keeps exceptionally well in the cooler. As its name suggests, it is very large, with a lot of fruit over 3". It has very high color for such a late peach with very tasty firm flesh and is fully freestone. This is a great variety for adding to any U-pick apple operation or late retail market.

Any peach variety with PF at the front of its name is a creation of Paul Friday, Michigan peach breeder extraordinaire.
