Blondee™ Apple on G.935 (Spring 2025)

You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2025. You can also find trees for Spring 2024.

A yellow Gala sport with a delicious and mild flavor. Also known as McLoughlin Gala.

The Blondee™ tree behaves much like its parent, Gala. It responds well to thinning and pruning, and it shares Gala's susceptibility to fireblight. It is likely that it has also inherited susceptibility to scab, powdery mildew, and cedar-apple rust. It ripens a few days before Gala.

An early, attractively yellow apple that will keep well in storage for two-three months, Blondee™ was discovered as a chance sport of Gala. It ripens early and it has crisp, white flesh with a mild, low-acid flavor. Tasters find hints of melon, green banana, and honey. Blondee™ is a great apple for the home orchard or for U-pick operations, where it will provide an appealing, sweet treat that the kids will love.
