A very beautiful heirloom apple that stores well.
Robada Apricot on Myrobalan (Spring 2025)
Robada is a large apricot developed in Fresno, CA.
Robada was developed in Fresno, CA. The goal of the program was to produce a new variety that was larger and more flavorful than most of the apricots that were currently being grown. The fruit is orange with an orange flesh. The flavor is considered to be excellent.
It has done very well in zone 5 at Red Jacket Orchards in Geneva, NY. It is not suitable for zone 4. Robada is probably not self-fruitful and therefore, requires another variety for cross pollination.
