Sumadinka Cherry on Krymsk 7 (Spring 2025)

A large, productive tart cherry developed in Serbia.

This tree is productive and precocious, bearing in its second year. It is reliably self-fertile, but the bloom is early, so care should be taken if using it as a pollenizer. The bloom is prolific and attractive. Sumadinka requires careful pruning to remove barren wood after fruiting.

Ripening late, these Morello-type cherries are large, firm, and aromatic. The fruit is good for both fresh eating, processing, and juice. The juice is colored deep red.

Sumadinka was developed in Serbia in 1969, but it was not released until 1984.
