Orchard Sprayers

Whether you go the organic spray route or the conventional spray route, a good sprayer is a very important piece of equipment. For a backyard orchard of 20 or so trees, a backpack sprayer will suffice. Field King is a great backpack. Solo is also a good choice. 

As your trees get larger and your orchard expands, you will need to move into larger rigs. Battery driven pumps on ATV sprayers work fine for 20-50 trees. For more than 50 trees, a tractor sprayer will become necessary. For two acres or less, a three-point-hitch air blast sprayer will suffice. More than two acres and it’s time to get a 400-gallon pull behind.
