Galactica Peach on BY520-9. Nematode Resistant Peach/nectarine (Spring 2024)

A cold-hardy, large, white-fleshed peach.

The tree is semi-upright and produces large, showy, red-purple cold-hardy blooms. This variety is self-fertile and a second variety is not required as a pollenizer.

Galactica is a "donut" peach (AKA peento). The fruit is large, flat, and shaped like a donut with white flesh that is sweet and aromatic.

Galactica was bred at NCSU, in the same program that produced Contender, China Pearl, and Intrepid. Its parentage includes the nectarine Fantasia.
