Mount Royal Plum on Myrobalan (Spring 2027)

You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2027. You can also find trees for Spring 2026.

An early, cold-hardy European plum.

This tree is cold hardy, tolerant of poor soils, and resistant to black knot. The habit is open-spreading. It is self-fertile, but for best results we recommend a second European plum for cross-pollination.

Ripening a week or two before Stanley, Mount Royal produces a prolific crop of small-medium round plums. The skin is blue and the flesh is firm, greenish yellow, and freestone. The flavor is very sweet and a bit spicy. These plums are suitable for fresh eating, drying, and processing.

Mount Royal was first cultivated in Montreal, Canada in the late 1700's.
