Papirovka Apple on G.210 (Spring 2027)
You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2027. You can also find trees for Spring 2026.
An early-season heirloom widely grown in Russia and Poland. Also known as Early Paper Apple, Polish Paper Apple, Paperovka, Papierówka.
The tree is of medium vigor with a narrow, pyramidal form when young, but it rounds out when mature. It is vigorous, cold hardy (similar to Antonovka), and precocious. It tends to overcrop and has a strong biennial tendency. It is moderately resistant to scab.
The early-season fruit is medium sized, rounded and slightly flat, usually with well-defined, wide ribs. A sharp longitudinal seam is visible on many fruits. The skin is greenish-yellow with a white bloom; it is smooth, thin, and fragrant. The white flesh is tender and coarse grained with a highly acidic, sweet-tart flavor. Papirovka should be consumed soon after harvest. It bruises easily and soon becomes mealy; this is not a storage or shipping apple.
Papirovka is widely grown in Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltics.
