KinderKrisp Apple on G.11 (Spring 2027)

You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2027. You can also find trees for Spring 2026.

A very crisp and very sweet red apple. Also known as MAC 2137.

This is a vigorous, upright tree, with moderate susceptibility to apple scab and CAR. It is precocious and crops reliably. It has demonstrated hardiness to Zone 4 and is potentially hardy to Zone 3.

Ripening at the end of August, about two weeks before McIntosh, this is a very crisp and very sweet apple. It's a lovely bright red flushed over yellow with juicy, pale yellow flesh, and it's a perfect size for little hands. Kids will love this juicy, crunchy treat! Adults may wax lyrical about notes of vanilla and cinnamon and the zingy finish. MAC 2137 can store for at least three months without losing quality.

This apple was developed by David MacGregor at Fairhaven Farm in Minnesota. It is a chance seedling discovered in 1998, with Honeycrisp likely in its parentage.
