Ozark Mango Nectarine on Lovell (Spring 2026)

You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2026. You can also find trees for Spring 2025.

A delicious nectarine recently released by the University of Arkansas.

Ozark Mango is a vigorous, productive tree with good resistance to bacterial spot.

Ripening early-mid season (July 1 in western-central Arkansas, about a week before Amoore Sweet), this is a medium-sized nectarine with a skin that is blushed red over orange and attractive yellow-orange flesh. The fruit is firm, non-melting, and clingstone. The flavor is sweet with a good acid balance, and tasters comment on tropical, mango-like notes. This nectarine never cracks and stores well for up to three weeks.

This is the seventh nectarine released by the Arkansas Fruit Breeding Program, which has also produced Amoore Sweet, Bowden, Arrington, Bradley, Effie, and Westbrook. The UA program aims to develop peach and nectarine cultivars suitable for commercial production and sales. Dr. Margaret Worthington, director of the breeding program, rates Ozark Mango as "the tastiest thing we have on this farm."
