Gras Romanesc Plum on Marianna GF 8-1 (Spring 2021)

A highly-regarded German plum. Also known as Herrenhauser Mirabelle, Herrenhausen Mirabelle.
From NYFQ 2006: "Maroon/purple skin with green/amber flesh that often exceeds 25% soluble solids when tree ripe. The fruit is round-oblong and averages about one inch in diameter. Texture is somewhat crisp when eaten at best fresh market maturity level. It stores very well with sugar increasing in storage. Fruit ripens mid-September in Geneva, and it is self-incompatible. It is pollenized effectively by French Damson and Castleton™."
Until recently we erroneously labeled this plum Herrenhausen Mirabelle.
