Kronebusch is a bittersweet cider apple discovered by Gary Smith at an unnamed location in Minnesota. It was introduced to cider makers by Dan Bussey, the apple historian and author of The Illustrated History of Apples in the United States and Canada. Chemical analysis has determined that Kronebusch is a bittersweet apple suitable for blending in hard cider.
