You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2026. You can also find trees for Spring 2025.
A late-season, sweet, dark cherry. Also known as NY 591.
This cherry blooms late and is not self-fertile. It should be paired with another mid-late blooming cherry. Recommendations include Bing, Van, Regina, Hedelfingen, and Emperor Francis or any mid-late blooming universal pollenizer such as Black Gold. Hudson is incompatible with Rainier, Republican, and Viscount. The tree is cold hardy and moderately resistant to bacterial canker.
The fruit are large and crack resistant with excellent flavor. The firmness of these cherries enables extended harvest for home growers.
Hudson was bred at the NY Experimental Station in Geneva, NY in the 1930s and introduced as a late-season option for commercial growers in 1964.
