WhiteGold® Cherry on Mahaleb (Spring 2026)
You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2026. You can also find trees for Spring 2025.
A cold-hardy, disease-resistant, and self-fertile sweet cherry. Also known as NY 13688.
This cherry has something for everyone: WhiteGold® is an excellent brining-style cherry (for processing into maraschino and glace cherries), but it is also great for eating out of hand and fresh markets. It is a self-fertile sweet cherry, making it a good choice for the home grower who only has space for one tree. An added attraction is excellent disease resistance. WhiteGold® is very resistant to bacterial canker and leaf spot.
WhiteGold® blooms early-midseason, and can be used as a pollenizer for other early or midseason blooming trees. It is very cold hardy, and it ripens about ten days after Bing. The fruit is yellow with a red blush and white fleshed. WhiteGold® was developed at Cornell's breeding station in Geneva, NY and introduced in 2001.
