Summercrisp Pear Scionwood (Spring 2025)
A sweet, crisp, winter hardy pear.
This is an upright and productive tree with moderate fireblight resistance. It blooms early and is very winter hardy. Summercrisp trees are known to be long lived.
The medium-large fruit ripens mid-August. The pears have sweet, low acid, crisp flesh, almost like an Asian pear. The fruit are best consumed slightly underripe; the eating quality is highest while the flesh is firm and crisp.
