A highly flavored, late-season dessert apple, perfect for organic production.
Lord's Seedling Apple Scionwood (Spring 2026)
A flavorful, hardy American heirloom apple.
A prolific and reliable cropper, this tree produces a yellow apple that is netted with russet. It's not going to win any beauty contests, but for collecters and connoisseurs, or even just adventuresome backyard growers, Lord's Seedling offers an aromatic, high-quality dessert apple. The apple is mid-large sized, round, and ripens in September with McIntosh. Bloom is mid-late season.
The provenance of Lord's Seedling is not entirely certain. It has been said to originate from Linden, NY in either 1832 or in 1892. Either way, it was discovered as a chance seedling by James S. Lord in an orchard of Baldwin apples, making Baldwin a likely parent.
