Cripps Pink Apple Scionwood (Spring 2026)
An excellent Australian dessert apple that grows well in warm climates.
The tree is vigorous and prolific. It is moderately susceptible to the other major apple diseases and especially susceptible to cedar-apple rust. While Cripps Pink will do just fine in zone 5, we recommend zones 6 and higher for fully ripe fruit; it requires a very long growing season. A low chill hours requirement also make this a great tree for southern states. Growers will find that the juvenile tree produces inferior fruit, but that quality will improve significantly as the tree matures.
The apples are elongated and somewhat blocky. The golden-yellow skin is flushed bright pink and starred with lenticels.
