A highly flavored, late-season dessert apple, perfect for organic production.
Priscilla Apple Scionwood (Spring 2026)
A flavorful, disease-resistant modern cultivar. Also known as Co-op 4.
Priscilla is resistant to scab, fireblight, and CAR. It is reliably productive, spreading and vigorous. This is a great trouble-free tree for the back yard or home orchard.
The fruit is medium-sized, blushed bright red over yellow. The flesh is white and coarse with a distinctive, rich flavor. Some tasters note a licorice tang. Priscilla will store well for around two months.
Priscilla is a mid-season release from the Purdue, Rutgers, and Illinois Universities breeding program. The name, starting with PRI, refers to this program, which has also produced Pristine, William's Pride, and Enterprise. This apple originates in a 1961 cross of Starking Delicious. It was introduced in 1972.
