A delicious early-season pear originally from Italy.

Morettini pear trees show good resistance to scab and mild susceptibility to fireblight. The tree is vigorous, productive, and hardy to Zone 4.

Ripening about 3 weeks before Bartlett, this is one of the best early pears. The skin is smooth, greenish-yellow blushed pink, and the flesh is buttery, sweet, and spicy.

Morettini pears were developed in Florence Italy and released in 1956. This is a cross of Coscia and Bartlett.
