Vampire™ Plum on Myrobalan (Spring 2025)

You are viewing a tree that will ship in Spring 2025. You can also find trees for Spring 2024.

A hardy red-fleshed plum. Also known as V82053.

This is a hardy, spreading, and productive tree that is resistant to bacterial canker. Vampire is not self-fertile and will need to be planted with another Japanese plum for pollination. The developers have established that Vampire is compatable with Shiro, Ozark Premier, Burbank, Vanier, and Myrobalan B.

Ripening mid-late season (about two week before Stanley), this is a large plum with skin that is green and red and flesh that is a deep, dramatic purple-red. The flesh is clingstone, firm, and very juicy. Vampire is a great plum for fresh eating and it stores and ships well.

Developed by the Vineland Research Station, Vampire is a cross of a seedling of open pollinated Early Golden with Ozark Premier. Bite this before it bites you!
