FLOWERING CRABAPPLES

VAN ESELTINE  A beautiful ornamental crab named in honor of its originator.  Pendulous flower buds produce double light pink flowers.  The tree is upright and blooms with Spy.  Susceptible to fireblight, but worth the risk. On MM.106 for 2007

VANGUARD  A red-leaved crab with cascades of pink blossoms. SOLD OUT FOR 2007.

REDORN#1  A Kobenza X Malus floribunda hybrid from our own backyard breeding program.  A semi-weeper that is resistant to fireblight.  Masses of persistent bright pink blossoms.  Fruit is tiny, inconspicuous.  Spring foliage is bright red, turning to reddish-bronze in the summer.  Tree form is especially beautiful.SOLD OUT FOR 2007.

ROYALTY  A red-leafed ornamental with beautiful pink blossoms.  One of the very best specimen trees.  Moderately susceptible to fireblight and scab.    SOLD OUT for 2007

INDIAN SUMMER  Lots of single pink blossoms, blooming over a week to 10-day period.  Red leaves in spring and early summer, turning bronze in midsummer.    SOLD OUT FOR 2007.
